Hernia Surgery

Advanced, tension-free hernia repair (herniaplasty) using high-quality surgical mesh to restore abdominal wall strength.

Procedure & Treatment Overview

Tension-Free Hernia Repair (Herniaplasty)

A hernia occurs when an internal organ or tissue pushes through a weak spot in the surrounding muscle or connective tissue. Hernias commonly develop in the groin (inguinal), near the belly button (umbilical), or at the site of a previous surgical incision (incisional). Hernias do not heal on their own and require surgical repair to prevent serious complications such as obstruction or strangulation.

How Herniaplasty Works

At Dariyansh Clinic, we perform tension-free herniaplasty, which is the gold standard for hernia repair. This technique involves:

  • Reduction: Safely returning the displaced organs back to their correct anatomical position.
  • Defect Closure: Closing the gap in the abdominal wall.
  • Mesh Reinforcement: Placing a sterile, high-strength polypropylene mesh over the weakened muscle area. The mesh acts as a scaffold for new tissue to grow, strengthening the abdominal wall and reducing the risk of recurrence to less than 1%.
Why Surgical Repair is Essential

Delaying hernia surgery can lead to tissue entrapment (incarceration) or loss of blood supply to the entrapped organ (strangulation), which is a medical emergency. Our daycare and scheduled surgeries provide a safe, proactive path to full recovery with minimal downtime.
